Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting the Gateway Lodge in Donegal Town, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. the hotel's location, just a short walk from the main square, the Diamond, was perfect for exploring the town. the welcoming staff made us feel right at home, and the room, though cozy, was clean and comfortable. The hotel's restaurant was a true gem, with delicious food that exceeded our expectations. the emphasis on retaining the original features added to its charm, creating a cozy atmosphere perfect for enjoying a meal after a day of exploring the stunning wilderness of County Donegal. the room itself was well-equipped, offering a peaceful retreat with modern amenities. the staff's attention to detail and the warm hospitality they provided truly made our stay special. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to experience the magic of this remote and hauntingly beautiful wilderness.
